The playground areas are not properly draining.  We had a professional survey conducted and engineers designed the appropriate solution to this area.  The first step was to remove the existing mulch.  In the last few weeks, trenching was done to install 10" drainage pipes in both playgrounds.  Along with the larger pipes, multiple catch basins were added to increase the amount of water that will be able to drain.

This week, the green plastic climbers are being reinstalled along with the yellow climbing frame.  Four new benches are being installed, two in each playground.  New wood landscape timbers are being installed to keep the mulch in place while looking so much nicer than the 30 year old timbers past their prime.  Once the drainage has been tested and materials added to keep the catch basins clear of debris, new mulch will be installed.
