We will begin our school year learning names, getting to know one another, and exploring the building and our classrooms. To help us get to know one another, we will talk about our families and our school. We will help each child discover how unique and special he/she is.
During the year, we will explore learning units, experience different art materials, and introduce colors, and shapes. Each day your child will participate in activities which include:
welcoming/pledge readiness skills discovery/sensory activities helper/jobs indoor playtime sharing/social skills
listening activities playground numbers/alphabet
story time lunch/eating manners large and small group interaction
weather/calendar fine motor skills colors/shapes
In addition, our class also participates in the following “specials” classes: Storytime and Gross Motor Skills/Gym. We will have varied activities with gluing, painting, stamping, listening, sharing, identifying, classifying, drawing, creating, playing, crafts, manipulatives, and discrimination.
