Early Childhood Connections (ECC)
COVID-19 Plan 2021-2022

St. B’s ECC is committed to the health and safety of our students, our teachers, and our families. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we must take proper precautions to keep all folks healthy. We hope to do this by increasing health and safety measures.

• Our class sizes are smaller than the state licensing requirements.
• We will limit combining groups.
• We will do our best to social distance.
• School enrollment will remain at 75% capacity.
• Parents and visitors will wear face coverings in the school building.
• Teachers attended COVID-19 preparedness training.
• Each child will have his/her own materials.
• We will disinfect the classrooms and bathrooms often.
• Teachers will self-screen each day prior to coming to school.
• All children will be screened by their parents each morning before coming to school.  Please see the ECC Waiver and Screening Guide for more information.
• We will have multiple drop-off entrances.
• Parents will drop off at a designated door and each child will be escorted into the building.
• Teachers and students will wash hands often throughout the day, as well as, use hand sanitizer when appropriate. 
• We will have children outside as much as possible including teaching time, play time, exploration, and nature walks. We will play on the playground. We will use bubbles, balls, and other equipment.
• We will utilize our large gym for active play.
• Toys will be disinfected between use, as much as possible.
• Children will bring their own lunch and water bottles.
• Special events will be determined by current guidelines and safety protocols will be taken.
• We will offer special activities in a virtual way, if needed.
• If anyone becomes sick during the school day, he or she will be isolated and sent home immediately.
• All medical forms and vaccination records must be turned in BEFORE your child can attend.
• If anyone tests COVID-19 positive, the classroom will close for the recommended days from last day of exposure, and accounts will be credited for COVID-19 closed days.
