Spiritual Direction

Is spiritual direction for you? 
Often people think that they are not sufficiently “advanced” in their spiritual life to enter into spiritual direction.  They think that spiritual direction is only for clergy, or those well on their way to sainthood. That is not true.  Spiritual direction is for anyone who desires a deeper, more intimate relationship with God. The spiritual director prayerfully journeys alongside the directee to help him/her see more clearly the movement in God in his/her life.

Spiritual directors  
The privilege and responsibility of a spiritual director is to journey with you as you deepen your relationship with God.  The journey takes place in the context of a confidential one-on-one session with your spiritual director. Spiritual directors at St. Bernadette have completed extensive training and formation, engage in ongoing education and meet with their own spiritual directors. You and your spiritual director will agree on a convenient meeting, usually once a month for an hour. You may choose to meet with a spiritual director for a short period of time or for many years.
